Marble Tree Service of Forest Grove, OR was established in 2012 by Justin Marble and Jason Cirlincione as an extension of the company Jason started, Cirlincione Construction LLC. Justin became an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certified arborist in 2014, and Marble Tree Service began to take on more work. Eventually, employees were added.
We've grown our company to include two crews and the equipment needed to take on a wide array of work, including tree removal, tree trimming, ornamental pruning, tree preservation, land clearing, and fire fuel reduction services.
As we have grown and seen firsthand the many ways in which humans interact with the trees around them, we have come to realize the importance of tree preservation. Trees grow quickly here in Oregon, but we can quickly outpace that growth rate through removal of trees. There are certainly situations in which trees need to be removed. Trees die or can otherwise become hazardous through many different means. Other trees are actively causing damage to buildings or infrastructure.
It is our goal to only remove trees when there is a legitimate reason. We acknowledge our role in the problem of shrinking canopy cover, and we want to help people understand and appreciate the many benefits of trees to the landscape and our lives. When well-maintained and cared for, trees can have positive impacts on our surroundings and day-to-day lives that can extend beyond our human lifespans.
Marble Tree Service strives to educate and inform people about trees and their numerous benefits while offering a sensible and balanced approach toward tree care and management. The decisions we make regarding trees have lasting, far-reaching impacts. As an example, the native Douglas fir was reported to have once reached heights nearing 400 feet, yet those trees are no longer with us because they were harvested as timber. This would have eclipsed the tallest Coast Redwood standing today.
None of us will see a Douglas fir grow to those heights within our lifetimes because those who came before us acted without considering the long-term impacts. It is imperative that we recognize the ways that we are making similar decisions in our own lives. Through better planting and cultural practices with our urban trees, we can maximize and extend the benefit that trees provide while also creating healthier urban forests and promoting biodiversity.
